Art Boot camp, Intense art activity for those who want a challenge
One off Workshops

Art Boot Camps are 4 days of intense art activity for groups of any age or ability. They are challenging projects which comprise of a inspiration trip to local galleries, making days and a final exhibition of the work created. To find out more click here.

When they are gone they are gone. Northwich's Regal Cinema and Chester's Odeon cinema both closed this year. This exhibition, shown at Chester's Screen Deva, asked if we are happy to let local facilities slip away and become mere nostalga.To find out more Click here.

The Marriage Game was created in collaboration with The Brindley Art Center in Runcorn in 2005. The exhibition comprises of a board game, set within a 1950's style living room and 10 large framed prints. The exhibition is now available for tour to galleries around the country. Tailor made workshops. Beth Barlow is an experienced artist with a first class honors degree and an M.A in art and drama. Workshops can be developed along a topic of your choice using a wide range of different media, including, photography, film, drama and craft based activities. To find out more click here.

The Coffee Shop is an online debating shop and can be found here
Short animation films with groups. The first of these workshops took place at Wesley methodist church in Chester as part of Screen Deva's family day. The workshop was a drop in for children aged from 5 to 16 and their families. The workshop allows people to make animations using junk. Up the Walls is a yearly event ran by Chester Performs. As part of this years event I was commissioned to create an art work with community groups, The White Barn knitting Group, Vale Royal Connexions alternative curriculum group and Sandiway and Cuddington Youth Club. The project looked at image and the finished product was 10 lit dresses made from patches of material on bamboo and wire frames. To see images click here

This project ran through 2009.

Cartoon Workshops Using simple easy to master hand drawing and computer colouring techniques these workshops can be used to develop reflective reports on your project with your group or create cartoon strips on a specific topic. This technique has been used with a group of mixed aged children and teenagers in West Gorton, Blacon Young people's project and as part of Art Boot Camps.
